Once a year, the Vietnamese Golf Associations (VGA) from arond the country meet in Las Vegas, NV to compete at the National Championship called the "National VGA Tournament". This tournament is open to all amateur VGA members of the various associations. Individuals who are of Vietnamese decent who don't belong to any of the local VGA clubs or associations in their area are also welcomed to compete and meet with other Vietnamese amateur golfers.
In order to challenge the members, the National VGA Championship is rotated around different courses in Las Vegas. All of the regional VGA associations gather in Las Vegas and participate in this two-day tournament.
There are various flights for individuals. The flights are divided based on the number of participants of the tournament. There are various prizes and trophies for individuals. This tournament recognizes the best individual golfer for various flights along with specific contest holes. But the main trophy that everyone wants is the Regional Championship Title which represents the region with the best group of golfers.
Every year, this tournament brings together 140-175 of the most dedicated Vietnamese amateur golfers from across the United States and Canada. It is very competitive and the friendships developed are priceless.

TOURNAMENT - FORMAT | FLIGHTS | RULES
The National VGA Championship Tournament is an INDIVIDUAL STROKE PLAY tournament.
Individuals will sign up for their flights based on the following assignments
FLIGHT A (0-9 handicaps) GOLD Tee Boxes
FLIGHT B (10-17 handicaps) BLUE Tee Boxes
FLIGHT C (18-+ handicaps) WHITE Tee Boxes
Master's Flight (age 50+) (TBD)
Women's Flight (RED - Also depends on handicap)
Men will tee off from their assigned flights while the Women will tee off from the RED tee box. (see score card for assignment and yardage.)
INDIVIDUAL FLIGHT CHAMPIONS - There will be 5 flights this year
Flight A will be for those with the lowest handicaps - (0-9)
Flight B will be for those with the low to mid-low handicaps (10-17)
Flight C will be for those with the mid-low to higher handicaps (18+)
MASTERS Flight for those who are between 50 years and older .
